What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Booking Procedure / Product availability
To secure a safari, an email confirmation and deposit is required from the agent, operator or client. All tours are subject to change short-notice due to any unforeseen circumstances.
All booking made and bookings made more than 55 days prior to departures requires a full payment OR 50% deposit to confirm.

Cancellation Policy:
Accommodation cancellation policies will apply accordingly:
If cancelling <7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 80% of the booking total.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.
If cancelling >30 days before arrival, forfeit 30% of the booking total.
Client therefore forfeits 30% of their deposit to get a refund. Non-refundable elements of the trip as well as bank charges to receive payment and to refund, is included as part of the 30% holdback for our efforts. Refunds are only valid for a bona-fide reason such as serious medical condition rendering travel impossible for 12 months.
Postponements:
There is no fee for a postponement of a booked safari if there is a bona fide reason therefore. E.g. a pandemic rendering travel impossible, constitutes a bona fide reason to postpone within 12 months without extra charges.
Guests will not forfeit any deposit – instead the deposit will be allocated to any future booking made by the guest either on their own behalf or on behalf of any friends or family.
Bank charges we occurred to receive the funds as well as bank charges to pay out refunds is for the clients’ own account.
INDEMNITY FORMS must be signed at the start of your safari. We recommend that you take out insurance against personal accident, medical expenses and baggage loss.
Child Policy
Children under 12 are charged 50% of the adult sharing rate per night and may be required to share the parents’ room.
Children under 2 can stay free of charge and will be required to share the parents’ room.
We reserve the right to ask for proof of date of birth, so please do not be offended if we do.
Children under 6 years of age are not allowed on SAN Parks open game drive vehicles.
Children under 12 years of age are not allowed on SAN Parks bush walks.
We welcome children on our safaris and will endeavor to include them on our open vehicle game drives as far as possible.
We do however reserve the right not to take children under 12 years of age on an open vehicles game drive with other guests. This is entirely up to the guide’s discretion. In such cases, we will conduct a special bush bumble game drive for the younger children after the normal morning game drive and/or before the afternoon game drive. We do not offer babysitting facilities and thus one of the parents will have to look after the children.
Private game drives can be arranged in advance and at an additional charge, to allow for more flexibility when traveling with small children.
Packages making use of Private Lodges, may have varying policies, as some lodges do not allow children under 12 at all, while others not only welcome them, but also offer special children’s activities. Please enquire prior to making your reservation.
Inclusions and Exclusions
Inclusions and exclusions are strictly as per each chosen itinerary, unless specified otherwise in writing.
Health requirements
Several of the areas we visit are malaria areas. Please consult with your doctor.
Please inform us of any pre-existing conditions such as diabetes or asthma and any prescription medication you may be taking. We also need to be informed of any food allergies or physical disabilities that you may have. No compulsory vaccinations are currently listed for South Africa. Please consult with your travel doctor regarding this.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers have adequate travel insurance. Please consult with your agent.
Visas
All visa requirements are the client’s responsibility.
Departure and Return Times
We endeavor to collect all guests from their respective hotels between 06h30 and 08h00 on the day of departure. Due to multiple pick-up points, we may have to stagger these times. It is always recommended to contact our offices the day prior to departure to confirm your pick-up time. On our return, we plan on being back in Johannesburg between 17h00 and 18h00. Again, we may have multiple drop-off points and cannot under any circumstances guarantee our time of return. Guests flying out on the day the safari returns to Johannesburg are reminded not to book any flight departing before 19h00 (domestic) and 20h00 (international). We strongly recommend that guests stay over in Johannesburg on the day that their safari returns to Johannesburg and can assist with any such arrangements. We do not accept liability for missed flights should we return later than planned.
Pre and Post Safari Accommodation
We can arrange pre- and post-safari accommodation at a local lodges, should you wish. The lodges is located around OR Tambo Airport. The rates include breakfast. Set menu lunches and dinners are served at a minimal extra charge. Day excursions to any of the numerous attractions in the area can be arranged with the Kruger Park Tours.
